Dec.23: Laci Peterson spoke briefly to her mother Sharon Rocha at approximately 8:30 pm. This is the last confirmed time that Laci was definately still alive.

Dec. 24 : She was first discovered missing at around 5pm PST and a reward was offered for information leading to her wherabouts.

Dec 25: News of the disappearance of the twenty-eight year old, 7 1/2 month pregnant Modesto, CA woman began to be aired on public television stations nationwide.

Dec. 30 : The reward in the case grew to $500,000.

Dec. 31 : Investigators said they suspected foul play in the case.

Jan. 2 : Divers looked for Laci's body and then ruled out future searches at the Berkeley Marina.

Jan. 8 : Divers returned to the Berkeley Marina.

Jan. 9 : Sonar equipment detected an object in the water and investigators admitted it could be a human body.
