Hi and welcome. Yeah, this is a really interesting story. Everyone thinks of Ramirez but this dude was bad long before the day.

His MO was tieing the man up then raping the woman. From memory, one of the couples managed to get free and ran out the front of the house screaming. After that, he killed the man 1st. Then raped then killed the female.

It was early to mid 70's.

Default I lived in Rancho Cordova

I was living in Rancho Cordova when he was known as the East Area Rapist. He would have the woman tie up the guy, place a stack of plates on him and tell them he would kill them both if he heard the plates move. He would then rape the woman. Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights and the East Area of Sacramento were his targeted area giving him the name. He killed two in RC. He began killing both parties when he went to Southern Ca. in 1980.

He tried to assault a couple in Danville, Ca. and the guy got into his face and he aborted. That was his last attack in NoCal. He then moved down to SoCal and his first attack was also unsuccessful as you mentioned. After that he began killing both parties (usually husband & wife) that were present.

Jeez, if this is the same guy he's attacked at least 100 times. And the attacks escalated until he'd take them both on.

Bad dude.
